In March 2022, in association with Aural Canyon and Pease Park Conservancy, the Future Museums Healers’ Ensemble organized a public soundbath in the treehouse at Pease Park. For 2 hours, the ensemble weaved a sonic quilt of new age improvisation through an 8-speaker quadraphonic stereo installed into the 40-foot steel globe. Playing to the structure and landscape, the band was able to find a delicate peaceful harmony that encouraged listeners to remain horizontal and psychologically in tune. The songs on this tape are arranged and presented out of their original sequence in order to delegate a brand new narrative. One that lets new dynamics emerge from the performance, and let some of the most beautiful and impulsive melodies announce themselves as something akin to composition. There were no additional overdubs provided to these recordings. The delicate beauty of this album is experienced in a more heightened awareness by setting intention, preferably in a dimly lit space with tea & incense. We can only hope it provides your space with an added layer of comfort, and brings peace to your own private paradise.
